I first met Erin living in New York City in my early twenties working at Bergdorf Goodman. She was warm, big-hearted, and going places. Friendly, but ambitious, it was no surprise to me when I learned she launched her own eco-friendly skincare and makeup line, Erin's Faces. Recently highlighted on The Zoe Report as one of 20 under-the-radar natural brands you should know about, I was eager to try it myself!
I confided in Erin that my biggest woe in natural makeup was shimmer-laden eyeshadow with no color payoff or staying power. I needed staples I could rely on with a matte finish and lots of pigment. You can create a customizable trio of her Mineral Eyeshadow in a sleek, mirrored compact. I chose Earth, Espresso, and Night—a neutral taupe, deep cool brown, and rich black. These shadows are AMAZING. I use them every day, and they seriously outdo my beloved NARS shadows in depth and wear time.
I also fell in love with the Brightening Eyeshadow Primer, a high-performance primer that reminds me of the Laura Mercier Eye Basics. A little goes a long way, it enhances the depth of your shadows, and makes them last and last.
The Satin Lipsticks are creamy and hydrating with dense even color and a satin-matte finish. Mocha is a warm pink brown almost leaning to raisin. It would be gorgeous on a medium to deep skin tone, or add depth for lighter skin tones. Red is my dream red. No blue or orange undertones, it's totally neutral. This is the kind of red you can wear with every LBD, or throw on casually with a white t-shirt and jeans.
